From August 15, 2023 all the nationalities including Kazakhstan can apply for Vietnam e-visa with maximum 90 days stay duration and valid for multiple entry. Holding a valid e-visa Vietnam, the Kazakhstan travelers can enter the country via 13 international airport, 16 land border gates and 13 sea ports, including:

Tay Trang (Dien Bien), Mong Cai (Quang Ninh), Huu Nghi (Lang Son), Lao Cai, Na Meo (Thanh Hoa), Nam Can (Nghe An), Cau Treo (Ha Tinh), Cha Lo (Quang Binh), La Lay and Lao Bao (Quang Tri), Bo Y (Kon Tum), Moc Bai and Xa Mat (Tay Ninh), Tinh Bien and Vinh Xuong (An Giang), Ha Tien (Kien Giang); - 13 sea ports:
Hon Gai and Cam Pha (Quang Ninh), Hai Phong, Nghi Son (Thanh Hoa), Vung Ang (Ha Tinh), Chan May (Thua Thien Hue), Da Nang, Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa), Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh), Dung Quat (Quang Ngai), Vung Tau (Ba Ria – Vung Tau), Ho Chi Minh City, Duong Dong (Kien Giang).
Things to keep in mind when applying Vietnam e-visa:
- When applying for Vietnam e-visa, you’ll need to prepare a photo of passport frontpage and a portrait photo. The visa information needs to be filled in completely and accurately as printed on the passport.
- While your e-visa is being processed, you should regularly check the status of the visa application. If you received a notice from the Vietnam Immigration Department asking you to amend the visa information or update the photos, you should do it as soon as possible. The processing time in this case will be counted from the time you finish amending the visa information or updaing the photos.
- The processing time may take longer than 3 working days that probably affect to your flight schedule. You are strongly recommended to buy a flight ticket when you already received your e-visa;
- When you received an e-visa, you should check the information on the granted e-visa against the passport to make sure there is no mistake. Any spelling errors, incorrect information or discrepancies with the passport details would be a serious problem that prevents you from boarding the plane;

2. Apply online for a Vietnam visa on arrival
The Kazakhstan passport holders can apply Vietnam visa on arrival from anywhere outside of Vietnam and pickup visa upon arrival airports in Vietnam by showing up the printed approval letter.
The approval letter will be sent to your email within 3 – 5 working days (normal service), 1 – 2 working days (urgent service) depending on which option you chose when submitting an online visa application.
At present, visa on arrival is the best way for Kazakhstan travelers to get a Vietnam visa, however it is available for those traveling Vietnam by air only.
