What should you do if your Vietnam visa application needs amendment?

You submitted a Vietnam visa application 5 working days ago and hoped it would arrive today, but you finally received an email saying your application needs to be amended due to incorrect photos or because you applied for a visa while still residing in Vietnam. Below is the instruction on how to solve this problem:

Your photos are incorrect

You need to prepare a photo of the passport with precise data, showing the 4 corners of the passport page.
The portrait photo must be taken at present with a plain background, no glasses or hat. You are also not allowed to submit a portrait photo of yourself, topless or in underwear.
Once you have good photos, you click the “Edit” button and resubmit them. The processing time will take more than 3-5 working days after you amend the visa application.

Request for amendment from the system

You apply for a visa when you are inside Vietnam

It is not possible to apply for a visa when you are inside Vietnam. In this case, you have to leave the country and submit an application while outside Vietnam.
Sometimes, even if you have already left the country, the system still records that you are staying in Vietnam, and you will receive a request for amendment from the system: “Evisa is issued for foreigners outside Vietnam. So if you are currently in Vietnam, you are required to apply for visa issuance, stay extension”. In this case, you need to prepare a photo of the exit stamp on your passport and click the “Edit” button. At item 9. “Attached image (if any)”, you will attach the photo of the exit stamp and submit. The processing time will take more than 3-5 working days after you send the attached image.
