Vietnam e-visa application stuck “in processing” status and what to do
Some people have reported that their e-visa application stuck “in processing” for many days and they don’t know how to sort it out. The flight for Vietnam will start very soon and they get stuck at the airport as they can not get on the plane without a completed e-visa. “I am feeling desperate now”, our customers said that when they have to face with cancellation of the flight to Vietnam at the last minutes.
You have probably missed an important notice when applying for Vietnam e-visa at the Vietnam Immigration Department’s website, it is said that: “Application is normally processed within 3 working days after e-visa fee has been paid with sufficient and valid information…” AND “In case of the application to be further verified by the Vietnam Immigration Department, you will receive the result between 3 and 15 working days”. So that, the processing time may take up 15 working days instead of 3 working days as you thought.
You are highly recommended to apply for Vietnam e-visa as soon as possible. You should start with your visa application 1 – 2 months before leaving for Vietnam and of course, you just book the air ticket after you received a Vietnam e-visa already.
If you booked a flight ticket before applying for Vietnam e-visa, you may encounter a problem of missing your flight because the visa application stuck “in processing” status. Below is our instruction on how to escape from this situation:
1. You only buy a flight ticket after you received your Vietnam e-visa;
2. You try to refresh your visa search several times as occasionally, there is no announcement of visa result arriving to your email. Do not wait for the email from the Vietnam Immigration Department but enter your code and email directly in the search link to ensure the e-visa is done or not;
3. Once you received your e-visa, you need to check the information on your e-visa immediately to ensure everything is correct;
4. If you receive a notice from the Vietnam Immigration Department asking you to amend your visa application due to the spelling mistake or incorrect data (full name, date of birth, passport number…) or old/poor passport photo, you have to proceed immediately and add more 3 – 5 working days provision to your schedule;
A notice to amend the visa application
5. If you already buy a flight ticket and your visa application stuck in processing status for more than 5 working days, you need to contact the Vietnam Immigration Department hotline at +84-243-825-7941 or email evisa@immigration.gov.vn.
6. If you did everything to sort it out but unsuccessfully, you probably need an urgent e-visa service from our www.emergencyvisavietnam.com. Please note that we have some options for you to match your schedule and the more time we have the less you pay.
