The Tuvaluan citizens may contact the nearest Vietnamese representative offices in neighboring countries: Australia, New Zealand or Japan to get pre-stamped visa on the passport or apply for visa on arrival instead. The citizens of other countries, who are living in Tuvalu wishing to travel Vietnam, are suggested to apply for visa on arrival to save time and cost.
Visa on arrival is an alternative way to obtain a visa to Vietnam in addition to the traditional way of obtaining a visa at Vietnam Embassy or Consulates. It is especially beneficial for those who stay far from the Vietnamese Embassy or who need emergency visa done in very short time.
